I love this hike in Malibu because, who doesn't enjoy an ocean view? You take the Solstice Canyon Trail past a ruined house, then head back on the Rising Sun Trail, which takes you up and keeps you facing toward the water. I always like to prepare people for that hike. It’s not hard but it’s hot and the sun is shining right on you. Be sure to wear sunscreen!
Great hiking with a waterfall at the top and some old ranch homes that burned in one of the Malibu fires
Great hike - you can hike to the falls, and then up the hill to get breathtaking (literally) views of the ocean and hike back down to the parking lot. Bring water and sunscreen.
Beautiful hiking trail in Malibu, and if the water is not dry, there is a small waterfall there.
Family-friendly easy hike. The trail ends in the old ruins of the Keller house by the river/waterfall. Unique interesting hike easy for all the family.

“Whether you've got kids, business or a romantic outing planned, this is a great place to grab reliably elegant fare in a park setting. It might not be the beach, but it's the best restaurant off the beach you'll probably go to in Malibu. The playground nearby is especially useful for parents wanting to enjoy a meal whilst letting the kids enjoy themselves as well. Not to mention they do grabNgo for park picnics, as well as are walkable to shopping, if you'd like to continue indulging!”

“This spot is a local favorite and has something for everyone. Great for families and breakfast too. What it lacks in outer ambiance, it makes up for with its interior. Lots of healthy menu options and can go casual with pizzas and burgers or fancier with entrees. Also has a juice bar and cocktails. ”

“The go-to breakfast diner and casual lunch as well as inexpensive (for Malibu) dinner spot. Big portions and long-standing servers. It might be a chain, but it's a reliable place to grab a bite and you can't beat the free parking inside the open air Cross Creek shopping center, even if it's not offering ocean views.”
