I love this hike in Malibu because, who doesn't enjoy an ocean view? You take the Solstice Canyon Trail past a ruined house, then head back on the Rising Sun Trail, which takes you up and keeps you facing toward the water. I always like to prepare people for that hike. It’s not hard but it’s hot and the sun is shining right on you. Be sure to wear sunscreen!
Great hike - you can hike to the falls, and then up the hill to get breathtaking (literally) views of the ocean and hike back down to the parking lot. Bring water and sunscreen.
Beautiful hiking trail in Malibu, and if the water is not dry, there is a small waterfall there.
Family-friendly easy hike. The trail ends in the old ruins of the Keller house by the river/waterfall. Unique interesting hike easy for all the family.
Great hike if you're on the West side of Los Angeles (north of Santa Monica by the ocean). All skill levels, waterfall and 3 miles round trip. You can combine with so many other activities on the coastline. There are a lot of other hikes in this area, so I suggest researching online.

“This beautiful beachfront park is a local gem of a secret. There are people who've lived here alll their lives that don't know about it. It's easy to get to and access. It's a great alternative to the sand. It offers picturesque views of the ocean and lagoon, beautifully manicured gardens, clean bathrooms, and plenty of quiet shade on a sunny day. For a very interesting docent-led tour of the historic home, check the website for times. It costs less than $10/person and it's really worth it to visit inside the home and learn a lot about local history. You can take a picnic inside and sit in any part of the gardens you like. On occasion parts of the property are closed to the public for weddings and private events.”

“Having taken over Malibu's beloved breakfast spot Coogie's, which closed after 25 years, restaurateur Nate Heydari had some big shoes to fill. And fill them he did with a more farm-to-table approach to all-day fare, a full bar and that quintessential laid-back beach style both inside and out. Proudly boasting local farm purveyors for ingredients, the menu veers from California chia and acai bowls, omelets and huevos rancheros for breakfast, to small plates like kebabs, penne Bolognese, plus big salads, pizzas and burgers for dinner. It's super-popular with the locals.”
