This important site dates back to the 13th century. An archeological site excavating the mounds of local Native American Tribes, this beautiful park boasts numerous hiking trails, old bridges and water wheels from historic and long-forgotten processing plants, streams, beautiful foliage, and more.

Indian mounds. Amazing.Amazingly close. Bike, (long) walk, or go by car to back entrance, take fabulous hike through woods that feel like North Carolina to me. Then you're in the state park (free admission). Good visitor area, picnic area, and accessible mounds. Amazing.

Small county park the is wroth the visit. It has a lovey hiking trail through he woods that crosses several creeks and a large Indian Mound with built in board walk so you can climb to the top. The park also has pavilions and cook-out grills.
