Gorgeous beach and easy walk up to this castle with fabulous views makes this one of our favourite (free) days out.
So many castles in Wales but this one is our favourite! An hour and a half from Cardiff, but you will be rewarded with amazing views over the estuary. No entry fee, you can take a picnic and sit on the grass in the middle and the kids can explore to their hearts content!
