Unique spot with really cool interior and atmosphere. Cocktails will be on the expensive side, so it might be a good place to begin or end your night to keep the tab down a bit.

in historic Monterey. Good food, nice unique atmosphere. LIke you're in an old library. Your check comes in an old book. Very popular; outdoor, heated seating.

also a restaurant. The last chef was amazing but I haven't tried the new one. The ambience is charming and cozy and there is even a rumor of a ghost in this old adobe. Artisanal drinks and tons of charm. The old owner was all about absinthe but that may have changed as well. Worth a visit.
