With a long sandy beach that's great for swimming and kids and parking for the Moosamaloo Natural Recreation Area just down the road, this is a great area for exploring. Hike up past the towering Falls of Lana, plunge in the rock pools of the river above or keep following the logging road on the…

A 40 minute drive to Lake Dunmore, nestled up in the Green Mountains in Addison County. Bring your own provisions and enjoy this small, quiet lake or walk the nearby trails.

Great state park where you can park and go to the beach! They also rent a plethora of water sports equipment and boats beyond what we have.

“The hike to the falls is super easy. The trail is wide and not steep at all. It's very popular, sometimes even crowed. Our favorite time to go is fall in the late afternoon. It's just past Branbury State Park.”

“A local favorite, prefect for kids or a lighter day. I rode here nearly everyday in the late 90s, and recently re-discovered it. And I feel back in love. The woods are wide open here, the trees are well spaced and the crew has done an excellent job of cleaning it out and marking terrain. Generally, it's quiet, with no lift lines. A much cheaper option to bigger mountains, but with all of smiles and hoots! For kids and families, this is maybe one of the greatest places to spend your ski-day! ”
