Gripsholms Castle is a beautiful royal castle only 20 min drive from here. The town Mariefred is very cosy and have nice shops, coffee bars and restaurants. There is also an old railway that is a popular tourist attraction.

A geat one-day excursion by boat from Stadshuskajen or by car to a lovely small town, great restaurants, and a castle.

Enjoy a stroll around the castle and gardens or a guided tour inside the castle. I highly recommend a walk through the nearby deer park, absolutely beautiful and suitable for all ages. Flat ground and wide paths.
