WE <3 SKI COOPER! Long before the days of our mega-resorts, the Ski Cooper reigned supreme. Nowadays, its the local gem for a chill, relaxed ski/board session with your close family & friends! The perfect place to learn, with many of the trails being Beginner or Intermediate. Heads up, we just opened the Tennessee Creek Pass portion, a challenging back mountain full of single and double diamonds, not for the faint of heart! Low cost, Low Key, Low Maintenance and Lo-cal (local)? We Leadvillians <3 that.

Ski Cooper is another small ski resort with nice runs for the person who seldom skis. This resort is near Leadville, which is about 70-80 miles north of Salida. Reasonable prices and a great place for the beginner.

The map location is incorrect (shows their offices) but Ski Cooper is about 15 minutes away. Great cheap, fun, local ski hill.
