Take a stroll around crystal lake and it’s forest. It is a magnificent spot for swimming in the summer.
Swimming hole with a 1.8 mile hike around the pictaresque lake. Walk toward the lake on the access road until you approach the dam at the southern end of the lake. Cross over the dam and watch for some blazes that will guide you round the lake. The trail stays pretty close to the shore of the lake…
Swimming, hiking, fishing, kayaking, canoeing. Bring a net and bucket for the kids to catch critters.
A state park with a peaceful, incredibly clean and clear lake that is perfect for swimming and paddle boarding. Rarely very busy, even on holiday weekends.
Have fun pick blueberries in June, swimming in the lake and hiking the surrounding trail

“World famous! So many people know this place because its half way between NYC and Binghamton. Great food, too!”

“Rent kayaks and canoes. You do not need a guide: the river is so navigable. Call for a res, put in next to Callicoon Caffe under the Callicoon bridge and float/ paddle down to Skinners Falls or further where a jitney will drive you back to your car. Magical.”

“being situated at the edge of Catskill Forest gives us a lot of great hiking options. We recommend checking out the All Trails app or website for hikes that best suit the experience level and distance you are looking to tackle.”
