THE meeting place in GTown. Noisy with everyone from students to regular towns people - everyone meets here. General pub grub and a pretty good pizza. Serves alcohol.

The Rat (as it is commonly referred to by locals) is a somewhat iconic pub in Grahamstown. They serve good pizzas as well as other pub-style food. This is definitely the place to head to if you want to catch a rugby game, have a few beers and suss out the local scene! It can get pretty lively when the students are in town and is always an easy choice for meeting up with friends.
