An aviation museum, located at Shellharbour Airport, is just over one hours drive south of Sydney, providing the unique opportunity to access many aircraft and to see restorations in progress. Highly acclaimed collection of lovingly restored aircraft including: Lockheed Super Constellation,Boeing 747-400, City of Canberra – London to Sydney non stop record holder. F-111C supersonic Fighter Bomber, Southern Cross II, Lockheed AP-3C Orion, Douglas DC3 and DC4, Canberra High altitude bomber, Consolidated PBY-6A Catalina, DHC-4 Catalina, Grumman Tracker. The Museum will soon be home to the Qantas Boeing 707 which has been donated by John Travolta. Over 40 aircraft associated with Australia’s civil and military aviation heritage.

If there has been one defining event in the recent history of HARS, it has been the arrival of our Boeing 747-438 aircraft, OJA, “The City of Canberra”. This aircraft means so much to many of our members who maintained and operated it during its life in Qantas. We have also seen our collection of both airworthy and static aircraft increase at a seemingly amazing pace. Every year there is something new to see, and HARS is truly a solid destination on the World map of aviation “places to see”.
