The 96-cover venue has been named 10th by the 2015 Travellers’ Choice Restaurants awards and is the only Welsh establishment to appear on the list, announced by TripAdvisor. With crops aplenty at The Clink Gardens at HMP Prescoed in Monmouthshire and a commitment to local, seasonal sourcing the menu highlights the best produce available in Wales all year round. #verygoodfinedinning

This is a really unique restaurant which is run by a charity, from Cardiff prison. Its aim is to rehabilitate offenders through training and giving a career, and what's more the food is fine-dining at a decent price. All the leather upholstery and boardroom tables are made by prisoners at HMP Frankland and poetry is from former Clink trainees. The Clink Restaurant is consistently in the top 10 restaurants in Cardiff on TripAdvisor - well worth a visit if you can get a table booked.

The delicious, high-quality meals at The Clink Restaurant at HMP Cardiff are cooked and served by prisoners working towards City & Guilds qualifications, allowing them to learn, engage with the public and take their first steps towards a new life. An amazing experience
