Thomas Kacherski opened Crew Restaurant in May of 2009 and has created a casual and modern environment with a dedication to local and organic fare. Thomas is a 2001 Culinary Institute of America (CIA) graduate, has been recognized by Wine Spectator Magazine, Hudson Valley Magazine, and Zagat. In addition he has recently been inducted into the Chaîne des Rôtísseurs, the oldest and largest food and wine society in the world. As well as a member of the Society of Fellows at the Culinary. Crew’s staff is highly trained and dedicated to the owner’s visions. Crew is part of the CIA extern program, providing students with extensive training on site. Many chefs currently employed are CIA alumni. Crew is devoted to local and fresh menu items - specifically Hudson Valley products such as duck, rabbit, goat cheese and many other organic, farm-raised ingredients. A farm-to-table philosophy dictates the seasonal menu and daily specials. We proudly use Sea2table seafood, Brown Trading Co., Pat La Frieda meats, Hudson Valley Fresh dairy and Farms2tables & Baldor produce.
It’s my favorite restaurant it’s pricey however the food is amazing customer service is fabulous and you can have one on one conversation with chef and or owner. Prefect date night or family celebration.
We love to sit at the food bar (not the drinks bar) and watch them prepare our food. They use organic meats and fresh herbs to create unbelievably healthy and tasty meals.
