A five minute drive from Tregaron. This is a wonderful wetland area with excellent access via a boardwalk. There is a large observation building near a large area of water that is great for birdwatching.
Yes, it's a bog but there are boardwalks and an amazing hide, it's a lovely walk on nice day, if you go quietly you may see basking lizards and newts as well as dragon flies and all manner of insect life as well as some tiny bog plants that you really need to look carefully for.
BOG! Walk, birds (feathered sort), wildlife. Did you know: Cors Caron represents the most intact surviving example of a raised bog landscape in the United Kingdom.
A magical & ethereal landscape & perfect for keen photographers & bird watchers too. Pack a picnic & take the easy board walks through the Bog to the state f the art glass fronted Hide.

“Beautiful walks and cycle tracks through beautiful scenery. Red Kites are abundant here - especially at feeding time! There's a great cafe too with HD CCTV to watch the kites in comfort. A shortish, reasonably level walk, passes kite viewing points and hides.”

“Another very local attraction, just turn left and keep walking until you get to the top of the hill and you'll see Jane's 'Ty Zinc' (tin shed). Jane Beck at Welsh Blankets has an extensive knowledge of the Welsh Woollen Industry for Welsh Blankets & Welsh Quilts, living on the borders of Ceredigion & Carmarthenshire, an area well known for its commercialisation of the Wool Trade.”
