“Brainard Lake itself is accessible via car (it's Federal land, so if you don't have a federal parks pass, you'll need to pay a $12 entry fee), but there is a trail beyond it that leads into the Indian Peaks wilderness that accesses several additional lakes and is at every turn breathtakingly beautiful.”

“Savory Spice shop is a fun little shop with free tasting of all kinds of spices. You can often find unique gifts here for that hard to buy for person. Hints: park behind the shop in the Boulder parking garage from Spruce Street, and bring your ticket for the shop to stamp it for free parking. Also, you can buy any spice in any quantity you want in a plastic bag. Saves a bit of money to not pay for the prepackaged glass bottle.”

“Beautiful, bountiful farmer's market. Mostly 100% organic. Good people watching and, in addition to wonderful fruits + veggies, great breads, pastries, jams, meats, salsas, etc.”

“Very different and beautiful restaurant that was a gift from our sister city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan. If nothing else, have one of their delicious alcohol drinks made with tea! In warm weather, sit outside by the Boulder Creek!”
