There are numerous walks, some on the sand, some - like the one the alligator was photographed from - are raised wooden walkways enabling rare encounters with a variety of nature throughout this large park across the inter-coastal waterway from Johnson Beach on Perdido Key.

Big Lagoon is full of native wildlife and plants nestled along the shores of Perdido Key. The park has a plethora of things to do including a look out tower with amazing 360 views, kayak rentals and launch, swimming, walking trails, a playground, and so much more.
You can see a variety of true Florida backgrounds at Big Lagoon. There are nature trails, beaches, playground sets, an observation tower, and many other items available to see at Big Lagoon.
