At the Candle Bar, you will have the opportunity to learn a new skill and create 2 unique one-of-a-kind candles. Come pull up a chair and we'll serve you a drink of your choice (red or white wine, or a local beer). Take in the beautiful aesthetics of the store and make something special for someone special...or simply just yourself. Here you can take a piece of Houston back home with you. We'll start off by teaching you the process behind making your own personal candle and the science behind building a fragrance. Then we'll walk you through building your own fragrance. Once we've completed that, we will guide you through making and pouring your own candle. While the candle is drying, feel free to shop at Forth & Nomad, or relax on our beautiful, wooden patio under our historic oak trees. Please allow up to 3 hours for your candles to dry before taking them home. You can also pick up your candles at another time. We hope to see you soon!

It all begins at a scenic spot that's a local favorite. We will get our missions and go over instructions/ground rules for the game. After a warm-up to prepare for this true sport, teams will take off to experience a wide variety of carefully curated locations throughout town. You'll drive in your car (special carless version available on request) to the various checkpoints, solving clues and accepting challenges that involve getting outside your comfort zone at each spot! Both family and dog friendly, the game alternates between the indoors and outdoors with plenty of alternative spots and free choices too! You'll send photos to your host to document your progress. You can even interact with locals who can help with clues! You won’t be able to avoid having fun, uncovering hidden gems and local secrets, making memories, laughing and learning along the way! You’ll be part of the rich culture of this dynamic city! Every turn is full of surprises, so questions in advance are welcomed! We’ll hit the ground running while visiting my absolute fav thrift stores. The first gem offers a lot of discounted designer pieces for those of us that enjoy luxury items. Next, we’ll slide over to another store that offers current, on trend pieces. Lastly, we’ll mosey over to a hidden gem that vintage clothing as well as home decor options. As your host, I will assist you with personal shopping, help with styling, and answer any questions regarding fashions. Other things to note: The experience will last approximately 2 hours. If need be, the experience may last longer based on individual needs. *Arriving 15 minutes after scheduled experience will be considered a no-show* Please contact host if running late. Each guest MUST purchase individual experience. ABILITY TO GO TO MULTIPLE LOCATIONS DEPENDS ON TIME SPENT AT EACH STORE. Host will be very patient. Welcome to Houston! I'm excited to show you one of our most POPULAR parks. First, we will meet at the starting point "Sabine Street Bridge". There is a B-cycle bike renting station there. The charge is $3 per half hour or $9 for the day. I will have the best water and snacks on hand so we can stay HYDRATED and not hangry for our ride! We will take the bike path around the bayou and stop at a few picture perfect locations to get your Instagram worthy shots. The park has art displays throughout the path and my favorite shot is the SKYLINE of downtown Houston - I'm all about shooting the right angles! You will get plenty of likes and compliments from friends and family who will wish they were on this experience with you too! I'm a native Houstonian who knows this city well and wants to make this the best possible experience for YOU! With me you won't get lost or bored. I'll keep it to smaller groups to make it more FUN and personal. Coffee is the second most consumed beverage in the world. Loved and addictive, it is also one of the most complex beverages.  In this workshop, we are going to take a journey from the seed to the cup. The main objective of this workshop Is to introduce you to the world of specialty coffee. The second objective is to learn how to taste, describe and analyze a cup of coffee. -> The coffee tasting consists of 8 tasting cups on 4 flights for total caffeine content of 2 cups. The coffee will be brewed manually using a pour-over, french press, and siphon. Sweeteners are available. Flight 1: we will start by tasting 3 different origins side by side where I'll introduce the coffee plant, terroir, and farming practices. Flight 2: for the next flight, we will taste the same coffee processed in 2 different methods: washed vs. natural. We will also pair them with fruits to enhance some notes. The second part of the workshop will be focused on coffee making and the sensory experience. Flight 3: I will introduce 2 different home brewing methods using the same coffee to show how we can modulate the different attributes of a coffee. We will also learn about ratios, grind size, water chemistry, and techniques. Flight 4: finally, we will end up with the last coffee, brewed on a Syphon and consumed in two different glasses to highlight the importance of the overall coffee experience.
