This is the start of the Cape St Blaize hiking trail. Highly recommended for its epic views of the ocean as it hugs the cliff edges for miles and miles. Easy hike - but long. If you’re able to put in the steps, you’re rewarded with the first the first place showing evidence of humankind.

Stunning hike - perfect for beginners and advanced alike. The first half of the hike can either be done walking alongside the river on the SANParks Trail or alternately - renting a canoe or SUP'ing down until the reeds block the river. Then, complete the hike along the riverside trail. When reaching the end - a beautiful waterfall with several rock pools makes for a rewardingly cool swim before the trip back.

It’s hard to imagine that there could be such a damn good steak restaurant in the middle of nowhere. But lo and behold, Joplins amazing staff and irresistible food are good enough to rival any steakhouse in CT or Jozi. Plus dogs are allowed. Sign me up
