A beautiful lake in an area also known as the riviera of East Switzerland. The scenery of the deep blue lake with steep rock faces on one side is reminiscent of a Norwegian fjord. You can hike along the shore, sunbathe on the beach, or go on a leisurely boat trip. Nearby you will find the car-free wine village of Quinten, which can only be reached on foot or by boat. Between Weesen and Quinten, the three-tiered Seerenbach Falls are among the highest in Switzerland.

A beautiful lake in an area also known as the riviera of East Switzerland. The scenery of the deep blue lake with steep rock faces on one side is reminiscent of a Norwegian fjord. You can hike along the shore, sunbathe on the beach, or go on a leisurely boat trip. Nearby you will find the car-free wine village of Quinten, which can only be reached on foot or by boat. Between Weesen and Quinten, the three-tiered Seerenbach Falls are among the highest in Switzerland.

A barefoot walk on the educational moor trail around the high moor of Rietbach near Krummenau lets you discover rare plants and is balm for body and soul.

Quinten, the village on the south side of Lake Walen, is a completely car-free village due to its geographical position.
Nestled between the shores of the deep, fjord-like Walensee and at the foot of the high Churfirsten opens up a unique and diverse landscape with its austere beauty.
Due to its special location on the sunny side of the Walensee, which never freezes in winter, Quinten has a southern climate with high biodiversity, ideal for viticulture and favors the growth of, for example, fig and kiwi trees.
