El Valle is a sustainable destination within the beauties of Samaná. It was created about 15 years ago, so its brand new, and its very beautiful. I feel I am entering another dimension when I visit that place, because there is absolutely no signal whatsoever. The highlight of this destinations is the people of its community, how they work together on a daily basis loving their surroundings. Great place to visit! Just 20 minutes drive from Santa Barbara. 1 hour drive from Las Terrenas and 30 minutes away from Las Galeras.

Getting around the Northeast
The northeast of the Dominican Republic is one of the most beautiful mix of contrasts of the country. Its easily mixed and match with the East region as well, since you can communicate by land, sea or air.
The northeast is composed by many towns, its main destinations are: Punta Cana, La Romana, Santo Domingo, Miches, Maria Trinidad Sanchez and Samana. Sounds like a lot but it's like a 2 hours car ride.
Local tip: The Dominican Republic must be known driving.
