Yeah, it's a chain, but only .25 miles away, leave full, and they treat you like family! We use their call ahead seating (or pick-up order) during busy times. To us some of their take home portions seem larger than served in house!

Two locations really close by: one is in the Target only 1.5 miles away (forgot milk for breakfast - get it in Target, but treat yourself to a Frap! No one will know). The other is about 3 miles down the road, but is a stand alone coffee shop with drive-through (nice when kids are asleep in the car an you need a pick-me-up)... both have seating.

If you were hungry when you arrived, it will not be that way on the way out. A bit more than Hershey Farms or Shady Maple, but the close proximity and high-quality food and flavor might be worth it. Always busy, but seems quiet. I'd recommend calling ahead.

If you haven't been, you should go. Worth the drive, and plenty of local flavor (Amish, farms, small shoppes you may want to stop in and visit) to see in route! So much food and so much variety. Check their site for daily feature (Rib, Seafood, etc) and prices. First time visitors are normally shocked by its enormity!

So much food and so much variety. Check their site for daily feature (Rib, Seafood, etc) and prices. First time visitors are normally shocked by its enormity!
Ok, there's a restaurant there and not just a bakery... but this might reveal where my heart lies. You need a local treat, you'll find it here. Being a bit over a mile away (depending on what you get), you may want to walk to burn it off on the way home!

Didn't know how to categorize this one. Every time family is in town, we go. They have a great little food court and a few interactive things you can do with the kids (Hershey experience, make your own candy bar, etc) It may not be close (35 min drive), but parking is free for 3 hours. We cap our time to about 2 hours and leave them wanting to go back. Enjoy a simple ride through the history of Hershey and get a free treat at the end.
