We love Charlie´s because it is a great local restaurant. The only one in town that has blue corn tortilla empanadas! It is a very Mexican restaurant, large and best coffee in town with a lovely garden.

Our favorite place even though I am vegetarian and it is known for it´s meat. I love the place because you can order amazing grilled veggies and build your own veggie plate. If you order the veggie grill, it is certainly enough food for two or more to share. If you go on Sundays you can usually hear this amazing woman sing, just her and her guitar with a Macy Grayish style voice!

This is a beautiful beach in Tulum, and one of that last remaining places to hangout that gives you an idea of what Tulum was like 10 or 15 years ago. This beach still has very basic cabanas with a sand floor and the restaurant at the back of the property has Mexican food. There is a little palapa on the beach that almost looks like a buried restaurant and that is the place we really enjoy. It is a very local place with great drinks, good vibes and you can get food on the beach as well. You can take the bikes there spend the day after you go and visit the ruins. It is close to the Tulum Ruins and a great place to have a beach day!

Parks & Nature
You can bike there in about 40 minutes and this place speaks for itself if you want to find secluded beaches, I would google and see how beautiful it is. Plan on biking for up to an hour from town if you really want to explore.

Getting Around
I love Felipe!! Tell him I sent you and he will take very very good care of you! We rent a car once a month and we always use Alamo as it is the cheapest in town. Also rent in person not online as you will have to pay fees that you do not pay if you rent in person!

The most popular bar in Tulum. On the beach and always busy and full of people. Expect to pay about 8 dollars for a taxi there and back. The drinks are expensive but the scene is super fun if you like to go out and explore the night life.

Literally around the corner from Casa Boho. It is a small store that has non perisible foods as well as cleaning supplies, sweets and anything else you may be looking for. You can not get fresh vegetables or fruits there but you can grab snacks and staples such as oils, rice, pasta, for cooking.

My favorite place to visit on my days off. You can take the bus there for around 12 dollars max and that is a return ticket. This beautiful colonial town that is a must to visit, it is approximately 1 hour and half from Tulum. Whenever I arrive in Valladolid I literally feel like I just stepped back in time. It is a truly beautiful Mexican town, if you have every been to Antigua you will feel Valladolid is very similar! You should visit the restaurant Cenote Zachi!
