Perfect place for a snack or a light lunch! Santa Maria Novella Train Station is the most important and central station in FLorence. It's just 5 minutes walking from your apartment. From Here you can easily reach many others places ideal for daily trip for example: Siena (1 Hour and 20 min), Pisa (1 Hour only), San Gimignano, Certaldo and also Monteriggioni. Also this is the base of the high speed train to/from Milan, Bologna, Rome, Naples, Torino and so on.. www.trenitalia.it (To check train schedule). In front of the train station there is also a base parking of the car sharing in case you are allowed to use Car2Go or Enjoy ;) Along the platform number 16 there is also a very safe and convenient luggages storage!

In the immediate nearby of the Rinascente there are also cheaper Stores like ZARA and you have to consider also Via Calimala, Via Roma and Via dei Calzaiuoli excellent spot for your Shopping in FLorence. Especially if you are travelling for the sales period! H&M is situated at the end of Via Calimala on your right, coming from Piazza della Repubblica!

One is named Piccolo Bar the other one Quelo Bar. At Quelo coctails are very good!

Ask to the staff at the front door. We prefer the Flo' disco close to Piazzale Michelangelo but it's open only during the summer. Yab is open all over the year.

The Best store if you want to rent a bike but also in case you are interested in bike organized tours or in case you want to rent a Vespa. Vespa could be a great choice to visit the Chianti area for a day trip! The shop is just 10 minutes walking from your apartment. All the info and opening hours HERE: www.tuscanycycle.com
Please in case you rent a bike for few days consider that in the building we are not allowed to park bikes inside the hall downstair so you have to leave them outside of the building, maybe you can ask to the shop to give you an apposit locker, but advise them about it. A Library with a cozy bar located in Piazza della Repubblica. There are several libraries in the area but this one is our favorite, especially when the center is not busy or when it's rain it could be a very relaxing place to study or work with the laptop drinking a cup of tea!
