Try the Kouign-amann (Breton speciality) and the fruit bread on Wednesday and Saturday (be quick!). Baguettes, sandwiches, patisseries - are all exquisite. And the ladies in the shop are lots of fun! They are shut Mondays but open until lunchtime on Sunday.

If you want a romantic evening - and are prepared to spend a bit - this restaurant is great. Authentic French and a bit old-fashioned. We like it!

This is a great creperie, with a nice outdoor area. It's hidden from the main street but if you fancy a salad and a crepe, you can't miss this spot!

This festival is fantastic. It is located on a sprawling site next to the Abbaye of St Maur. It's not far from the house along the Marne in mid-May.

This is really practical as it's located at the RER station, and you can catch the bus to our place directly from the station if you've overbought. Plenty of parking here too, which is free for the first 2 hours. They even stock Cadbury's chocolate and English tea!

It's right next to Disneyland so about 25 minutes drive. There is a big mall next to La Vallée, which has all the usual brands.

You can't miss the markets here on Thursday and Sunday mornings. It's really one of the best in the area... Sunday is really big and busy, with clothes too. There are so many great clothing shops, cafes and restaurants in this street. You have to walk down here to get from the house to the train station...
