Sightseeing

Piccadilly is an area of Manchester City Centre which is widely considered to be the heart of the city... Here you can find all major transport links including, buses, trams, trains and taxis. There are an abundance of shops, restaurants, bars and sights here. By night, it is nothing short of beautiful. The water feature in the centre of the gardens with its series of fountains lit from beneath is a particularly nice sight.

Drinks & Nightlife

A swanky Champagne Cocktail Bar!! Need we say more!? Okay, we will... With a comprehensive menu, yes! A Menu! Full of brilliantly crafted cocktails, excellently attentive and expertly trained bar staff and a team of waiters who bring your drinks over to your table, Epernay makes for a suave and upmarket drinking experience in a beautifully decorated venue which is located in the Great Northern Tower Buildings... It's more of a Cocktail Restaurant than a bar - you can even reserve tables!! Brilliant!!! Beware though, some of the cocktails although delicious can be deceitfully strong - but that's the nature of champagne through and through - and why we love it so much!!! Enjoy...

Parks & Nature

A beautiful park, popular with locals and tourists alike - this park has just had thousands spent on a regeneration of the grounds and the old building at the centre of the park has been turned into a pretty decent cafe...

This is my favourite park in the whole of Greater Manchester. It isn't the largest by a long shot, but in my opinion it is easily the most beautiful. Simply stunning views. Beautiful green lawns and clean open stretches of water surround hidden walkways which lead to small seating areas and mini piazzas. Interesting statues overlook the park and an abundance of wildlife can be found here...

Alderley edge is a stunning Nature Park & trail which is steeped in mystery and where locals still speak of the times when mystery and magic was rife at Alderley. Not all that close to Manchester City Centre, though if you are in Manchester for sightseeing then you should definitely put this location on your list. Especially beautiful during the summertime months.

Following extensive refurbishment, the Manchester Central Library has reopened, combining historic features with cutting-edge design. Also in the city centre, Chetham’s library is a gorgeous 17th Century building, believed to be the oldest public library in England.
