Hidden away in the woods on Lidingö is the cutest café. During the week you can get a lovely lunch (try the chevre chaud!) or go on the weekend for lunch.
From my apartment it's roughly an half an hour walk and quite a nice stroll.

This is by far my favourite resturant in Stockholm and it's good for any occasion. Italian styled with a twist. You have both a regular resturant and a smaller side entrence so you can usually get a table but check the webpage for bookings to be sure.
I usually go for the Carpaccio, followed by the Maccheroni Tartufo (think mac'n'cheese with truffle) and end with sharing the deep fried oreos and ice cream with my friends. But anything of the menu is golden!

Hersbyholm
This is by far the closest bus stop to the apartment! Take bus 204 or 214 from Ropsten :)

If you want to be cultural on Lidingö this is the place to go! It's a museum but it's the statuegarden in the back that's my personal favourite. A lovely view over Stockholm and charming sites in general.

One of the few museums in Sweden that charge an entrence fee but it's worth it! Lovely exhibitions (you can look up the current ones on their webpage) and the view from the café at the top is to die for and very instagram friendly.

If you feel like being childish and really Swedish this is sort of a zoo (just northen animals like seals and mooses) and museum combined. "The world’s oldest open-air museum". It's really lovely and during winter they have the best christmas market on the weekends.

Enjoy the unique experience of walking among exquisite colourful butterflies flying freely around you in a breath-taking exotic tropical environment. It's one of my favourite childish spots in the city.
The Butterfly House Haga Ocean includes one of Scandinavia’s largest shark aquariums. Large and small reef sharks as well as numerous exotic, colourful fish swim together in the 30 meter long aquarium that holds 1.2 million liters of water.

Svejk is one of thouse places that is always crowded but no one you mention it to knows what it is. A Czech resturant with good food, like fried cheese - i mean come on, but also really good beer. Try the basement for some peace and quiet.

One of my favorite places to go for a drink with my friends. I've never tried the restaurant but that is suppose to be good as well. The drinks are amazing and you're right in central Stockholm. Try the espresso martini!

My favourite spot in the summer. A wonderful roof top bar with a great view of Stockholm! It will be crowded but you might manage to get a table if you're early (or late).

Mall of Scandinavia is the biggest galleria in Sweden/Scandinavia with 230 shops, big cinema with iMax and a lot of eating possibility`s, not food court like it usally is in big mall`s but a lot of nice good restaurants.

Lidingö centrum has all the basic shops you might need. You'll find Systembolaget if you want some wine or beer for your stay, an H&M if you realise you've left something at home and some cute lokal shops like the tea and coffee shop!
