We often walk down to Coogee beach and have breakfast here. Great home cooked food and views over the beach. Good for takeaway picnic food too.

Great cosy cafe and bakery. It's nice to get take away coffee and sit on the grass on the opposite side of the road overlooking Maroubra beach and watch the surfers

Sightseeing
World famous coastal walk, well worth doing at least once on your visit to this area. It's 6km so if you don't want to walk the return trip you can get a bus back to Bondi junction, then another from there to Randwick! There's lots of cafes along the way, and beautiful beaches so wear your cossies.

World famous coastal walk, well worth doing at least once on your visit to this area. It's 6km so if you don't want to walk the return trip you can get a bus back to Bondi junction, then another from there to Randwick! There's lots of cafes along the way, and beautiful beaches so wear your cossies.
As a day trip take the big ferry from Circular Quay to Manly.
On Sundays travel is cheap – currently it’s $2.50 for all day bus/ferry/train travel all over Sydney on an opal card (but this can change so check it). So get out and just wander around! Balmain is nice area to visit by Ferry from Darling Harbour, lots of small shops and cafes and a market on Saturdays.

this is a lovely ocean pool about .5km north of Maroubra beach, and the Grumpy Baker is close by for a coffee and croissant. You can get to both by 376/377 bus from our place.

Botany Aquatic Centre is a council run complex with 3 open air pools– 50m, 20m, toddlers (not open during winter). Entry is about $6 for adults. It has BBQs, grassy areas, café and take away food, and a big slide. It’s a great place for a few hours, especially with kids. There’s a really lovely café about 20 mins walk from there called Botanix.
