Parks & Nature
Saorge is located on the outskirts of the Mercantour National Park. Here are lots of hiking trails, opportunities for canoeing, rafting, hores back riding etc. A good time for hiking is from April to June and September to October when it is not too hot.
A good place to start a hike in Mercantur is in Casterino.

On Fridays there is big market in Ventimiglia from early morning to about 14/15. A very good tip is to park near Coop and walk the last bit. It's chaos down in the city itself ☺.
In Ventimiglia you will also find a very nice food-marked every day in the mornings and until about 13.30. Vegetables, Ham, Cheese, Pastery, Win and more. Very nice!
