Great spot for breakfast. It's a pleasant 1 mile walk, with great views of Mt. Hood and the river, from the house straight south on Corbett. They have great coffee and delicious breakfast foods. I usually get the eggs and biscuit breakfast. Great spot to sit outside during nice weather.

A nice 20 min walk or so from the house. Great to walk along the water front and walk off your dinner on the way back. It's a late night hotspot. One of the few restaurants open late.

A new Blue Star donuts just opened up near the house in the SW water front area just on the south side of the park. These guys make the best donuts in town in my opinion. Voodoo Donuts are not good. Get there on the early side as they tend to run out of some of the flavors. Also have good coffee available.

Voodoo Donuts are not good. Get there on the early side as they tend to run out of some of the flavors. Also have good coffee available.
It's mainly a wine shop, which has quite a good selection, but they also serve pretty tasty little tapas style dishes. It's a good place to grab a glass of wine and have a snack before heading out for the night.

Funky and cutting edge new Thai spot. The ground pork is super spicy and the fried chicken is decadent. Definitely worth popping by for lunch. Rated one of the top new restaurants in town.

Growler guys is the typical Portland spot where they have 50+ beers on tap. Not a great ambiance but a great place to go sample a ton of local beers. You can grab a growler of whatever you liked and bring it home.

This is a restaurant and bar. The restaurant is good but too expensive for the portion size. However, the late night happy hour menu is reasonable and has the best burger I have had in Portland. Go after 10pm get a cheaper beer and enjoy a delicious burger.

Great rainforest trails about a 10 min walk from the house. I frequently go trail running up here. It's beautiful shady and the trails connect to the north and the south so you can make a full day semi-urban hike out of it if you like.
