Drinks & Nightlife
Proper pub - roaring fires in winter, good choice of ales and ciders (small brewery out the back).
lovely views out across newcastle from the beer garden (ask for a comfort pack if it's freezing)
there are often bands and events on upstairs or in the beer garden (often with street food available) and the "back" room has local fiddlers and ukulele players jamming round the fire most nights. if you're lucky, the local rapper dancers will turn up and jump around with swords and bells for 5 minutes and then go away again.
