This wonderful park has many hiking trails, beaches, rocky cliffs, fantastic views, lakes, wild flowers. Rosario Beach and Bowman Bay on north side of bridge have my favorite short & long hikes.

There are 2 great beach areas along West Beach Road to watch the sunset, and occasional surfers. Waves are bigger than by our house. At Hastie Lake Rd end and further north.

Another nice west side beach to walk on and a trail. A short ways south of this park on West Beach Rd, you can watch the high tide waves break wildly on the remains of some old house foundations.

Nice Park a few miles from our house. Trails and beach and camping. On west side of Island. View out to Olympic Peninsula and Victoria. Good Sunsets. Adjacent to many forest trails in Kettles area.

County Park at end of Libbey Road. Good sunset/water view. If tide is out you can walk beach for long way in either direction. Sketchy when tide is in -you could get wet or worse if there's no beach.

Food Scene
Historic Building, gardens, a nice waterfront location. They have a restaurant and bar. I haven't eaten there so check schedule. I've paddle boarded there on a non-windy- no current day from our house

Everything Else
Historic small waterfront town with nice dock, some galleries and restaurants, and a few shops. Also Prairie Market Grocery store, the post office, hospital, and county government buildings are there.

Lavender gardens and a labyrinth. Fabulous views of water and mountains beyond the flowers. Their gift shop has moved into the town of Coupeville.

Old bunkers and guns, a light house, a beach, next to Ferry Dock, campgrounds, Dive area. As a child I loved exploring the old bunkers and tunnels and taking my friends there.
