I don't do coffee but this place is always busy and smells wonderful. My coffee loving friends swear by it! Right in the middle of the cutest little downtown you ever did see, Martinez!

Parks & Nature
This is our backyard. Hiking trails with views of Mt. Diablo to the Bay! Cows and newts roam around and horseback riders use this park too. Not to be missed if you love nature. Sometimes there's a fee if the booth is attended, I think it's $5.00 or $10.00. Plenty of parking at any entrance you choose, there are at least 3. Ask for more details.

Camping is available there as well. A great place to ask your sweetie to marry you or just share a swig of water on some rocks after your hike as you enjoy the sunset.

Because....wine. Really great food too. We don't do wine but we do food. Napa also has cute antique shops and wine. Oxbow Market is not to be missed, C Casa Mexican food is AMAZING! Did we mention, wine?

Drinks & Nightlife
Downtown Martinez is great for grabbing a coffee or a beer with your food, depending on the time of day. From Thai to BBQ to Greek to Mexican to Breweries you really can't miss. Armando's has live music. Plus, there are antique shops and even a dinner theater magic show. The waterfront has a beautiful bridge that looks out onto the straight and the marina. Historical Victorian houses are all over the place. We love Martinez!

High end retail therapy can be had here as well as a myriad of food choices. Blocks on blocks of shops and restaurants, a movie theater and even the actual Walnut Creek which runs through the town of Walnut Creek.

Outdoor shopping mall with a movie theater that will bring your snacks to you while you watch the movie, a gym, a Whole Foods 365 Market and so much more. Outdoor seating and play area for the kiddos. Tons of parking too. It's new, it's pretty, you should check it out if you're into that kind of thing.

The Veranda
2001-2003 Diamond BlvdOutdoor shopping mall with a movie theater that will bring your snacks to you while you watch the movie, a gym, a Whole Foods 365 Market and so much more. Outdoor seating and play area for the kiddos. Tons of parking too. It's new, it's pretty, you should check it out if you're into that kind of thing.
Everything Else
Oakland has some pretty sweet spots to run around or hang out. It's right next to Berkeley which has a ton of cool things to do too. Then there's Alameda with the Pinball Museum which also hugs Oakland. (Oakland Airport is the closest major airport to us as well.)
