Centennial Olympic Park was built in the middle of downtown, similar to New York's Central Park (but on a MUCH smaller scale). It was created as a meeting point for the 1996 Summer Olympics that were held in Atlanta. Within walking distance to the park is the World of Coca Cola, Georgia Aquarium, CNN Center, Philip's Arena, and much more!

If you want to shop, you can go to the Northpoint Mall area and find just about anything! There are also great restaurants near there. It is only about 10 minutes away from here.

I typically get groceries at Aldi. You have to bring your own bags, bag your own grocery, and use a quarter to use the carts (that you get back when you return it), but Aldi's prices are cheaper than ANYWHERE else, they have great customer service, and it is so small you can easily run in and out in just a few minutes!
