beautiful public beach on long island sound, with a fishing pier, a public boat launch for leisure craft, picnic tables, playgrounds, swings, ample trees and pavilions for shade. the lighthouse itself is iconic, and there is a fun working carousel on the grounds as well. very popular for bird watching. truly incredible for sunset picnics.
