Chantry Island Tours… "Come to breathtaking Southampton Ontario and take in the sights and sounds of Chantry Island. Take a tour of the Light Keeper's Cottage and climb the 106 steps to the top of the lighthouse tower for an unparalleled view of the area. The island is also a Federal Migratory Bird Sanctuary. With approximately 50,000 birds on the island during the breeding season, it is surely a sight to behold."

Reviews from people! EASY TRAIL TO WALK ON I have a bit of a balance issue but I took my time and easily walked around the entire lake. There are wood slab benches at various places along the path, also sculptures made from the ash trees that had to be cut down, loads of bird houses, bat houses etc along the path and at one end there is a viewing deck with adirondack chairs for a good rest. I saw many ducks and a large Heron on my last visit. There is also a registered Butterfly garden near the viewing deck. A Hidden Gem The missus and I discovered this by accident, just wandering up High Street from the Art Gallery (see my review). Just marvellous, it's about a 20 minute walk in a serene environment adorned by sculptures carved out the trees. Very peaceful and bucolic. Cycling on Southampton/ Port Elgin trails Review of Fairy Lake Trail O• Reviewed June 22, 2022 I via mobile In fact we cycled it, having found a great bike rentals shop" Martin's cycles" in Southampton and they gave us directions to the trails all the way to McGregor national…a great day cycling along the coast, in woods, on ex rail track lane. thanks Martin's staff.
