Walk or bike on the Niagara parkway trail.
Historical sites – Battlefield of fort George- they still have demonstrations of what it was like to train in battle and Butlers Barracks has a complex of 5 wooden buildings built by British after war of 1812.
Niagara Falls is always a nice day trip.

Only a 20min drive from our home on Mary St. is the epic Falls. With everything a tourist wants from restaurants, to activities and of course the sightseeing adventures of the falls either by land, water or even behind the scenes.

A short drive into the Lincoln area, which consists of Beamsville and Vineland you will find a multitude of wineries waiting to be discovered and enjoyed, some with gorgeous views and all have a unique flair. Such as the Angels gate, Vineland Estates, hidden bench and Foreign Affair.

As North Americas first golf course, it ranks in the top 10 as a top 9 hole course in the world outside the USA. The club is open to the public – can go for a game, or relax on the patio and take in the view being right on the water. The course is located on grounds involved in the war of 1812. In fact, located at the end of the first hole is fort Mississauga and its moat (no longer water-filled). Across the water you can see Fort Niagara on the shores of New York State in the USA. Usually open March - Oct.

Best to get around NOTL is by foot
Most restaurants and shopping are easily accessible by foot.
You may also want to consider calling for NRT which is the NOTL on-demand personal driver for just $3 anywhere in the NOTL area so you can wine taste and not worry about driving back. :)
Also enjoyable on a nice day to explore, you can rent a bike. You can rent regular or electric ones just at the corner of Mary and Mississauga Rd. at Zoom Leisure Bikes.

Restaurants/wine tastings
While you are likely to find many things to do and places to go last minute. During high season, it is recommended to book most restaurants and wine tasting to avoid disappointment.

Beaches
There are many beaches you can choose from. Walking distance is the Queens Royal park and beach at the bottom of Regent st. And a 5min drive is the Mississauga beach at the west end of Queen st.
A 20 min drive will get you to either Lakeside park beach or Sunset beach in St. Catharines. Generally less crowded and less known beach
For larger beaches there are Nickel beach and Crystal beach on the Fort Erie side, which is about a 45min drive.

Sunset Grill $$ as you know it to be and also a small quaint diner breakfast at the stage coach family restaurant $ both on Queen street, you can’t go wrong with either.
The Willow cakes and pastries is good for a light breakfast of quiche or croissants, they also have soup and salads for lunch they are on Mary street, as is Tim Hortons both a – 3 min walk.
