One of the most famous and authentic pubs in the Old Town. A place where the locals drink it lived up to expectations. Shared tables, Pilsner Urquell just appears and keeps appearing until you put a beer mat over the glass. U Zlateho Tygra is easy to locate along Husova, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants and amazing architecture and a major tourist destination.

Restaurant called "Špejle", address Jindřišská street 937. Reservation needed as the place is always busy. Open daily 11 AM - 11 PM. Cool concept idea, canteen style help your self to food on offer. Cold plates, snacks, open sandwiches, hot plates. Pay per stick at the end of your visit. Great choice when you don’t know what you fancy to eat, have a bit of everything. I’d say this was probably more suited to a lunch rather than evening dinner. Great cocktails/gin offerings. Hot food wasn’t very hot, as probably been sitting out a while. But tasty to try some local food/recipes

An oasis of calm, nice walking trails, great views of the city and you can view the wonderful and giant equestrian statue in honour of Jan Zizka. It is a really nice park, most definitely well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to the Zizkov District.

City/town information

By far the most popular destination in the Czech Republic after Prague, Karlstejn Castle is an easy day trip for those interested in getting out of the city. This Gothic castle was built in 1348, as a stronghold for royal treasures, especially Emperor Charles IV's collection of holy relics and the coronation jewels of the Roman Empire.

The Czech Republic's most famed spa destination, Karlovy Vary - or Carlsbad - saw 200 spa houses sprout by the end of the 1500s. The springs in this idyllic, lush, peaceful Tepla valley are said to cure an almanac's worth of metabolic and gastric issues. Visitors still flock to this town of Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings. Five beautiful Colonnades straddle hot springs where visitors try aquatherapy and drink the mineral-rich water. The town also has a respected international film festival.

Prohlídka památek

Charles Bridge is one of the Top 3 sightseeings in Prague. It is a medieval stone arch bridge that crosses the Vltava river in Prague, Czech Republic. Its construction started in 1357 under the auspices of King Charles IV, and finished in the early 15th century.[2] The bridge replaced the old Judith Bridge built 1158–1172 that had been badly damaged by a flood in 1342. This new bridge was originally called Stone Bridge (Kamenný most) or Prague Bridge, but has been referred to as "Charles Bridge" since 1870. In walkable distance from my apartment :)
