Parks & Nature

During spring this is full of wildflowers, some of which remain all year round. After rain a choir of frogs can be heard throughout. As written up in Urban List: Currimundi Lake Trails For many northern coastal residents, Lake Currimundi is a forgotten treasure. The clear blue expanse of water jutting off Wurtulla Beach is actually a national park, meaning there’s a range of pre-mapped bush walking tracks surrounding the lake for the savvy hiker. Park on the northern shore of the lake, lace up your hiking boots (thongs will do the trick too!) and take one of the many bush-beach trails down to the water. https://www.theurbanlist.com/sunshinecoast/a-list/best-beach-walks-on-the-sunshine-coast

Sightseeing

There's some nice walks and views here. You can walk along the beach side and catch great views of the open ocean, and often see whales in winter and spring. If you walk along the Mooloolah river side there's some nice flat paths for the kids to ride bikes on, that lead to a great park called La Balsa Park.
