GoPro Mountain Games Vail June 9 -12

The GoPro Mountain Games are the country’s most celebrated festival of adventure sports, art and music and they return to Vail, CO June 9-12, 2022 celebrating the 20th anniversary. Concerts, art, and FREE spectating activities are also a big part of the event. Nice walking trail for friends and family. The first hill from Ryan Gulch Rd is a little steep, but the rest of the trail is good for walking after you get up the hill. The lake is pretty in the summertime and fall time

Sally Barber Mine Trail

Nice wide trail with great views. The 1.8 mile uphill trek was well worth it. Cool little stream running along the trail 1/2 way up and a cute little waterfall. Easy parking area!

Bluer River Trail

Easy stroll in a beautiful setting. With the Aspens turning it was great. Take caution in the morning as you may run into Moose. If you are looking for a stroll through town with some nice views, this is it!

Buffalo Mountain Trail

Buffalo Mountain trail it’s a great adventure, worth to do it if you are in Silverthorne. If you are fit it will take you 5 h to get the summit and come back. From the center there is a free shuttle bus going which can take you to starting point. You can also use app AllTrails to plan your trip.

Green Mountain Reservoir

Located about 17 miles north of Silverthorne, Green Mountain Reservoir is one of the only lakes in the area that allows people in the water. This means visitors can wakeboard, tube, waterski, and swim in addition to paddle boarding and boating. The Heeney Marina rents pontoon and small fishing boats. Additionally, there are a range of campsites and cabins for rent near or adjacent to the reservoir.

Angler Trailhead Cross Country SKiing

Angler Trailhead is a 6.76-kilometer (4.2-mile) backtrail that is located near Silverthorne, Colorado. Taking, on average, 2 hours and 27 minutes to complete, this trail is rated as a moderately challenging trail to traverse. It is popularly known for being a place where visitors can go cross-country skiing, hiking, and horseback riding.
