This is Old Florida. Old school cottages still dot the land. So do modern villas. Variety is the key here. Quiet neighborhoods, the largest beach access point in the area, delicious restaurants, and boutique shops ensure that there is something for everybody at Inlet Beach.

City/town information

Seaside is renowned for its pastel-colored beach bungalows, distinctive whitewashed post office, and architect-designed walkways leading to the sugar-white sand — a picture-perfect town that served as the setting for Jim Carrey's hit film The Truman Show. Seaside is a popular gathering spot for families and friends who want to visit local art galleries, boutiques, and Central Square Records and Sundog Books to browse records and books. Seaside will never leave you wanting for something to do, with live music in the open-air amphitheater and performing arts in The REP theatre. Throughout the year, the New Urbanist community hosts festivals and events, as well as a weekly farmer's market. Whether you lunch at Bud and Alleys, a casual seaside cafe, or one of the retro food trailers along Airstream Row, fresh, coastal cuisine is on the menu. There's something for everyone in this casual array of food trucks, with anything from BBQ and 100-layer pastries to inventive crepes. Foodies will have their hands full with longtime favorites like Great Southern (try the Grits a Ya Ya) and Modica Market (your one-stop shop for pantry necessities, great sandwiches, and homemade desserts).

Rosemary Beach, a neo-traditional beach community with pristine beaches, a bustling town square, and award-winning restaurants, combines New Urbanism – the design style that places everything within a short walk of town center – and West Indies style with pristine beaches, a bustling town square, and award-winning restaurants. CNN called Rosemary Beach one of "America's Most Romantic Small Towns," which comes as no surprise to anybody who has strolled through its meandering walks and cobblestone alleys, or dined al fresco in its inviting patios and courtyards. The neighborhood's Main Street and town square are lined with brick pathways, encouraging visitors to explore the locally owned stores and boutiques, where fashion and fun mix and mingle.

Seagrove is a favorite among long-time South Walton visitors because of its lush oak trees, magnolias, and laid-back, yet luxury lifestyles. A wide mix of boutiques, casual cafes, and an overall lively attitude compliment the scenery. A trip to Seagrove is full of excitement. Visitors should visit Deer Lake State Park and Eastern Lake because of their proximity, and riding along the Timpoochee Trail near Seagrove is the best way to get around. In 2021, a new Regional Beach Access will open in Seagrove, making it even easier to sink your toes into the sugar-white sand. Dining at Café Thirty-A is a Seagrove tradition. This South Walton institution was among the first to establish a presence along Highway 30A. Seagrove Village Market, not far to the west on Highway 395, is a must-visit for succulent shrimp po boys and good old memories, having been part of the original Seagrove Village Market since 1949. Old Florida Fish House, located to the east (and overlooking the aptly named Eastern Lake), is a great spot for lunch or dinner. You won't want to miss out on their award-winning sushi or live music. Seagrove is the ideal beach community for families seeking for a classic Florida vacation vibe, with plenty of shady nooks, stunning stretches of sun-drenched sand, and plenty of fun to go around.
