If you're coming to New Orleans for food, do not overlook Coquette. It's expensive but worth every cent. Chef Kristen Essig is incredible and winning a lot of awards for her talents.

If you have a car this is one of my favorite places to go for po boys and all your other seafood needs. A real lunch counter type of place with a lot of options and a fast kitchen. While the price is a little high, the quality never disappoints.

A great spot for lunch or brunch, Mr. B's Bistro is a Brennan's restaurant across the street from the historic Monteleone Hotel in the French Quarter. Check out their BBQ shrimp - their gumbo is also incredible.

Of course I have to send you here for world famous beignets. It's touristy, sure, but they're open 24 hours and right across the street from Jackson square. It's a great place to people watch while you're in the quarter. If there's a long line, just come back later - don't wait.

One of the best views in the city, this is right on St. Charles and they have a wonderful atmosphere and amazing cocktails. They have a 360 view of the city, so come here at night if you want the full effect!

One of the oldest bars in NOLA (and I think the entire US) not really great drinks, but great history and atmosphere. You want to stop in here and take it all in - the candle lit piano bar in the back is so wonderful and during the winter they light the fire places and it makes it nice and cozy (they also feature the eggnog daq around Christmas...YUM!)

This is an incredible music venue about 5-10 min away from the rental. Their capacity is about 800 but it doesn't ever feel that full. Great acts and a great place to hang with access to a lot of bars within walking distance.

This is more than a bar, it's a lifestyle. Located near the warehouse district of New Orleans, it's a fun place to hang out for a few hours and they have great BBQ. A local's hang for sure!

Really close to the rental there is Freret Street. If you don't feel like going downtown and don't know where to go, start at Cure or Dat Dog for a cocktail or beer and walk around. They have a few little divey bars that have great music. The whole street is a lot of fun.

A great park to walk, run or bicycle a track. For a runner, from my house it is about 5 miles to run to audubon, around the loop and back. Nice place to spend a weekend.

I cannot say enough about this museum. Make sure you have several hours to go and please be mindful that they do sell out during peak seasons. I think you can purchase your tickets online ahead of time to avoid a long wait. They have different experiences, but the main museum drag is lifechanging and there is truly something for everyone!
