This place has some of the best food in Park County. They just recently changed their hours and are open from 8:00am-7:00pm daily. Every time we are in Alma, we plan to have at least 1 meal at Otto's.

The Al-Mart is your closest store. They are usually open from 7:00am-9:00pm (except on Holidays) and have lots of local food options as well as a Carhartt retail store attached. They also have locally sourced meats. Call ahead to pre order everything from fish to filet mignon.

Kite lake is very close to Alma. It's the trail head that services the infamous DeCaLiBron, a series of 4 peaks above 14,000 ft. They also have a campground. The road is not paved so plan accordingly.

Great place to hike and friendly for kids. The road to the trailhead is pretty rough though. (My kids loved it as you can see.)

This is a low cost, outdoor, and self guided museum with historic buildings and great views. We've been multiple times and learn something different each time we go. In addition, there's lots of restaurants within walking distance.
