Germany's oldest queer club is a result of the emergence of the gay movement of the 1970s in West Berlin. In the 1980s, it was doing a lot of political and care work in light of the AIDS pandemic. Also today it is a hallmark example of how Berlin clubs are also politically very active and engaged for several marginalized communities.
