1. Richardson’s Canal House- for that special night out. Early 19th century flop house for canal workers. Tasty food. On the canal. Pricey. Reservations
2. Basin Pub- good pub fare. They do a decent reuben. Wonderful place to watch sports
3. Fruit and Salad- healthy food. Reasonable
4. Chef King- Chinese. Only have had the steamed dumplings. They were good.
5. Pontillo’s Pizza- known locally as one of the better pizza and wings places. It is not NYC pizza, but what is?
6. Branca- good Italian. A little pricey, but pleasant atmosphere.
7. Tom Wahls- good cheeseburgers. Milk shakes. Ice cream.
8. Agave-Mexican.
9. Bruegger’s Bagels- good bagels/sandwiches
10. Label & Napa Eatery & Bar- brew their own beer. Nice spot on the canal. Local hangout.
11. Tim Hortons- coffee and donuts primarily
12. Dunkin Donuts- in the gas station
13. Abbott’s Frozen Custard- on the canal. Voted the best many times.

It is a wonderful expression of nature's best. If going to the Canadian side, bring your passport. About 60 miles west. The American side is nice, but the Canadians have the best amenities and views

Hikes are plentiful.
Crescent Trail head is out the front door to the left. Up about two hundred yards. Powder Mills Park is walkable from the house
Powder Mill Park- is across the Pittsford-Victor Road and up less than a half a mile away. It has short relatively easy hiking paths and fish hatchery which is great for kids.
Kraeg Road Park- child play area, tennis, and a short path along the canal into Bushnell’s Basin/Richardson’s Canal House Restaurant, At the end of Sully’s Trail. Leisurely walk
