This is one of my favorite State parks in Arizona. It makes for the perfect day trip and the hike is moderate. Payson is a quaint town with charming restaurants and shops. The drive is one of my favorite parts, seeing the transition from the Sonoran Desert to Pine Trees is truly unique to Arizona!
