Places to Learn About Kūpuna

This is a historic site where ancient chiefs would gather and there is a self-guided tour that explains ancient Hawaiian culture, beliefs and history.
There is also some of the best snorkeling in all of Hawaii at "Two Step." It can be a challenge to get in and out but is well worth the experience. You may be able to swim with some spinner dolphins if you get there in the morning.

The sacred mountain is one of the tallest in the world and you can often find snow on its peak. You will need a 4x4 vehicle to reach the summit but the visitor center has wonderful views from the Sunset Trail. Bring a sweater or jacket.
