The Hainanese Curry Noodle which is LEGIT to me! They operate early in the morning while you might need to line up in a queue for the noodle. You may order the noodle in 2 ways, Separate or Non-Separate. Personally prefer Separate. (The pork meat, prawn and bean sprout will be in a different bowl) Appreciate each and every time of my visit because you will see 65 and above elderly working there, they might not have inherited for the Hainanese Curry. (Non-Halal Restaurant)

KAMPUNG Kacang Putih is known throughout Malaysia. People from all walks of life throng the area during festivities or weekends to buy their favourite snacks. The Nuts sold are the same, but for the muruku and other snacks, the taste varies and what separates them is the recipe. Kacang Putih is a huge hit throughout Malaysia and people actually drive down to Ipoh just to get bulks of kacang putih for snacking purposes and the price is really cheap.

If you are planning on a food hunting in Ipoh, Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah should be in your bucket list. It is called Nasi Kandar Ayam Merah, anyhow the locals nicknamed it “Nasi Ganja” due to its addictiveness. The service is surprisingly quick and efficient as it took around 5 minutes for our food to arrive after placing our order despite the large crowd. The signature plate of Nasi Kandar which came with fried chicken, salted egg, okra and sliced cucumbers topped with their special chutney and robust curries is a huge hit among the locals and also tourists. The curries were clearly the wow factor of this dish hence do request for “kuah campur banjir”(mixed curry) for a satisfying feast.

I really enjoy the North Indian cuisine-naan and their special Spinach sauce that tastes good when eaten together. Meanwhile their Butter chicken, Fish Head Curry and Mutton Gravy tastes absolutely fabulous! Thus if you are a vegetarian, there are few varieties there for you to choose. During the afternoon they serve Banana Leaf Rice and during the Evening they serve Naan. On the whole its a good spot to make your tummy Happy!!!

The most interesting feature is the painted frieze around all four sides of the clock tower. The 44 figures represent famous people from world history. In the most prominent position at the front of the tower, however, due to objections a single figure has been painted over. The tower was built as a memorial to J.W.W. Birch, first British Resident of Perak. The four figures on pedestals around the tower represent the four virtues of British administration- loyalty, justice, patience and fortitude. The main bell in the tower is 6 foot 6 inches across, and four smaller bells play a tune. The medan next to the clock tower offers Malay-style food at very reasonable prices.

Driving to Ipoh, i think Kellie's Castle should included in the MUST VISIT list as it's one of the history and full of mysteries about the haunted story of this castle in Malaysia. THE CASTLE is well maintained, and the surroundings offer Good greenery and well kept. So it was a beautiful historical place with some supernatural insights to boot along with the history, the displays and explanations are good, and it's a great place to take photos

Gua Tempurung, located 25km south of Ipoh near Gopeng, is probably the largest cave in Peninsula Malaysia and has plenty to attract the serious caving enthusiast, the adventure seeker or just the casual visitor. Billions of microscopic marine organisms had to die and fall to the ocean floor where their tiny shells were compressed into limestone. Apart from limestone, the cave contains deposits of tin, marble and other minerals. During the Malayan Emergency (1948-1960), communist guerrillas used the cave as a hideout and some of their graffiti is still visible on the walls. You will have the companion of bats between March to May. A nice and chilly cave and its a must visit.

The paintings were painted on old, heritage as a way to preserve these rare gems. The paintings, dated this year, highlight the many cultures of Malaysia: lion dance, kuda kepang dance, Indian Bharata Natyam dance and A Kadazan. Adding on with a pinch of cheekiness with popular childhood games like hide-and-seek and mother hen, and a beautiful waterfall scenery, amongst others.
