Walking distance breakfast spot, basically a diner. The food is standard diner food but the proximity is great. It can be VERY busy on the weekends, best way to get a table without a wait is to get there when it opens.

About 12 miles outside town this park has it all. It can be visited using the road and vehicles, or there are great trails. The one way road has a bike lane and the trails are great for running. Obviously, there is a ton of history and education resources as well.

Walking distance to the house and downtown, we like to grab lunch and relax in the park. There is a carousel in the summer and sometimes outdoor plays. This park was designed by the same Landscape Architect that designed Central Park.

In addition to SPAC, the Saratoga Spa State park offers so many great trails, playgrounds, tennis courts, springs and geysers, disc golf, etc. Pay to enter the park with your car, or park near Wired Coffee outside the gate and walk in for free. The Hathorn playground and the Creekside Classroom playground are our family favorite places, the creek is a great place for skipping stones. Many trails for trail running and there are 2 pools.

The Hathorn playground and the Creekside Classroom playground are our family favorite places, the creek is a great place for skipping stones. Many trails for trail running and there are 2 pools.

A walk or drive from the house, these trails are at the end of North Broadway. Great for trail running or short walks with the kiddos. If driving, park at the end of North Broadway and walk done the dirt road to the map kiosk.

8 mile drive, this is an easy hike with different trail options, the trails are mostly sandy. Trail running the yellow and blue loops twice (2x) is about 2.35 miles.

Great and easy hike for kids. There is no swimming but up on the moutain is a little cooler. The trailhead is about 15 minute drive from the house
