Glyncorrywg Ponds Mountain Bike Centre 2.4 miles away
Afan Bike Park has a series of 5 runs of different grades ranging from blue to black graded. The bike park has one route up and then riders have the option of choosing one of the five trails back down.
The Bike Park allows riders to improve their riding skill and have hours of winding, swerving fun with berms and jumps.
Car parking and refreshments are available on site at Bryn Bettws Lodge

An escape room is a physical adventure game in which players are locked in a room and have to use elements of the room to solve a series of puzzles and escape within the set time limit. After the initial briefing covering the general rules, a game master will show you to your room. Your group will enter and get acclimatised before the game master leaves you. Once the door is closed, a video introduction will play, introducing the room’s theme, storyline and giving you instructions on how to get started.

This museum doesn't look very impressive from the road - but it is certainly worth a visit. On arrival, you are welcomed with a personal introduction to the mine. They mined anthracite here.

There's a good choice of grills along with the usual pub favourites. Sit inside or on the decking area where there are plenty of blankets supplied to keep out the cold. Part of the deck is screened too so you can avoid the weather if it's a bit windy or wet. The staff are really friendly and the views all around are stunning.
