The floating bridge is just 1.1 miles from the cottage and is a very unique and historic local site. It is a popular spot for fishing, swimming and picnicking in the tiny "Hippo Park" on its shores. Closed to vehicle traffic from early November to spring. But you can still walk out on it in winter.

Nothing says old fashioned romance like snuggling with your partner at a drive in movie. Tip: If you have an SUV where the back opens fully, or pickup truck, bring some blankets and pillows and park backwards to set set up your own private "theatre" in the back your vehicle. Food, snacks and softdrinks are also sold here. The drive in is 14 miles from the cottage. CASH ONLY, OPEN JUNE - LABOR DAY

My husband and I are not really golfers but we love going up here after getting an ice cream in Williamstown and for 5 bucks you can get a basket of balls from the vending machine and have some fun. The view is really gorgeous for this hilltop range and there are hardly any other people there. We have provided a few junky golf clubs you can borrow from the cottage. Combined with lunch and ice cream in Williamstown, this is a really fun lazy summer day date activity! OPEN WEEKENDS DAWN - DUSK

Liberty Orchards is just a couple miles away from the cottage. If you are lucky enough to be here during their short apple picking season, it is a highly recommended experience. Yes, the cottage has pie pans to bake up a scrumptious desert! Try apple pie with a side of sharp cheddar - a New England combo!
